What is the AM Conservation Group's Google Nest Portal?

The AM Conservation Group's Google Nest portal offers eligible and approved contractors special pricing on select discounted Google Nest products.


Are there compliance requirements for products purchased on the AM Conservation Group's Google Nest Portal?

Yes. Purchasers of products from the store must agree to comply with the following:

  • You will install the products in accordance with the respective product installation requirements found on each product page.
  • Thermostats purchased for income qualified programs will be installed only for eligible programs.
  • You will not resell products purchased for income qualified programs.

How long will it take to receive an item on backorder?

If products are backordered, AM Conservation Group will provide an estimated ship date once the order completes review and approval. Customer will be notified by email with an estimated ship date.


Which products are eligible for special pricing?

All of the thermostats listed in the AM Conservation Group's Google Nest portal are eligible for special pricing. The special pricing is applied instantly for eligible customers and no paperwork is required.


Is there an application process for the special pricing?

Yes, you must complete the online Google registration form and be approved by Google. AM Conservation Group may contact you for additional information to verify your eligibility. Once approved, you will be able to place orders with the special pricing shown. No additional applications are required to receive the special pricing as it is instantly applied at the time of sale.


Why does Google need to approve my account?

The approval process is necessary to ensure that the buyer is a participant in qualifying programs that serve lower-income North Americans.


Is there a minimum and maximum amount I can buy?

There is a one case minimum requirement per item ordered (all orders must be in whole case quantities). The only maximum is based upon approved credit card charge or credit limit if the contractor has established an AMCG account with payment terms.


How do I login or register?

You can login or create an account by clicking "Sign In / Apply" in the top right corner of the screen. There are two ways to register:

1) From the Home page, please click on the Register Here button located under the ""Steps to Verify Eligibility"" enrollment process view or

2) Also from the Home Page, click on "Sign in / Apply" located in the top right corner of the page then click on the Get Registered button and complete the online Google form. With either path, the application will be reviewed by Google and, if approved, you will be notified by email and be given your login credentials.


How do I view my order history?

Click "Sign In / Apply" in the top right corner of the screen and log into your account.


What forms of payment can I use in the AM Conservation Group Google Nest portal?

AM Conservation Group will accept payment by MasterCard, VISA or American Express via the portal. If you have set-up an AMCG account with payment terms then checks are also accepted.  All transactions are in U.S. dollars. For credit card transactions, your payment will be preauthorized prior to shipping but charges are not posted to your credit card until the order has shipped.


When a contractor makes a purchase, who does the charge come from?

The charge on your credit card will come from Worldpay, AM Conservation Group's credit card processing vendor.


How do I know if my order was received?

After your order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation email to the email you used while registering for your account. Once your order has shipped, you will receive another email with your tracking number.


Whom do I contact if I have questions about my order?

What are the shipping and handling rates?

All pricing includes standard shipping charges. It does not include special delivery options or expedited shipping.  Please check with your AMCG customer service representative for a custom shipping quote should these services be required.


Who is AM Conservation Group (AMCG)?

Google Nest chose to collaborate with AMCG because our high level of service makes it easy for our customers to purchase energy saving products.


How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Orders typically ship within two business days of order approval.  Delivery time is dependent on the ship-to location but is normally within 4-5 business days.  Extended delivery times can be experienced during times of inclement weather or due to high shipping volumes experienced by national freight carriers.

General Item Returns

Return Policy

Items must be returned within 45 days of invoice to be eligible for credit.

Returned items must be received by AM Conservation Group, in new condition and in the original packaging to be eligible for a refund.

AM Conservation Group will send a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) which must be included with the return shipment and the RMA number must be printed on the package in order for the returned material to be received at AM Conservation Group.

A 20% restocking fee will be assessed on all returns unless the return is a result of an error made by AM Conservation Group or the product is defective. Contractor must work with the product manufacturer directly to determine if the product is defective.

Return shipping cost is the responsibility of the customer unless the return is a result of an error made by AM Conservation Group, in which case, AM Conservation Group will issue FedEx or other freight carrier labels to have the product picked up.


Incorrectly Shipped Orders

Eligible Time Period: Inspect your order within 2 business days from delivery date. If you received items you did not order, we will send you a prepaid FedEx shipping label for you to return the incorrectly shipped merchandise. We will ship a new order for the correct merchandise within one business day pending product availability.


Damaged Item Returns

Eligible Time Period: Inspect your shipment as soon as you receive it for damage. If you have a larger order that is being delivered by a common carrier, please inspect the order for damage prior to signing for receipt. Note any damage on the bill-of-lading you sign and keep a copy. If possible, also take pictures of the damage prior to signing for the shipment. Please contact your AMCG sales representative with all of this information as soon as possible to initiate the claims process and replacement shipment.

If a Nest thermostat arrives damaged due to shipping, it will need to be returned to AMCG prior to a replacement being sent. If a product doesn't appear to be damaged from shipping but instead is not working properly due to a manufacturer's defect, please follow the steps below under Defective Item Returns.

AMCG will notify you if any of the damaged items need to be returned and will send you a prepaid FedEx shipping label to do so.


Defective Item Returns (Smart Thermostats)

If a Nest thermostat is deemed truly defective by the manufacturer — NOT incompatible — contact the AMCG to discuss replacement. See below.
